Trade Policy
We evaluate trade-ins based on demand, current store inventory, and item condition. Once accepted, trade credit is added to your account for immediate or future use.
Guidelines & Hours:
• Daily Limit: Maximum 35 items per household per day.
• Condition Requirements: Items must meet quality and safety standards. We cannot accept items with water damage, mold, deep staining, or signs of pest exposure. We reserve the right to decline trade-ins at any time.
• Trade Desk Hours:
o Monday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
o Friday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Used Merchandise
| Caregory 1 | New Releases (published within the last year) and hard to find books (see bounty hunter list). Can also be used for puzzles. Can be used for categories 1 through 4. |
| Category 2 | Adult fiction and young adult fiction. Can be used for categories 2 through 4. |
| Category 3 | Non-fiction books. Can be used for categories 3 and 4. |
| Category 4 | Children’s and religion books only. Can be used for category 4 only. |
Other Media
| Category 5 | Used comics, manga, and graphic novels. Can be used for category 5 only. |
| Category 6 | Music CDs, Books on CD, DVDs, Vinyl Records and Video Games. Can be used for category 6 only. |
Store Credit Rules & Exclusions: When redeeming store credit, customers pay $1.00 plus applicable sales tax per item out of pocket (via cash, check, or credit card). Store credit applies only to tradeable merchandise.
Store credit cannot be used for:
| Gardner’s Gold or Internet Sales | High value or hard-to-find items. These are marked by a gold price sticker. Items bought from the online store are not eligible for credit use. |
| Display Case Items | Items in display cases and specially priced on shelves. |
| Discount Items | Heavily discounted items, normally indicated with a yellow sticker (i.e. $1.50 books) |
| New or Specialty Items | Most of these items are marked by green or white price stickers. Items such as new items, toys, board games, etc. Promotional sales (BOGO, etc.) are included here. |
| Services | Gift certificates, shipping and handling, special orders, or disc repairs. |

Buy Policy
We sell most types of used media, and while most of our stock comes from the items our customers bring us for trade, we often buy many types of items too. Simply bring the items you’d like to sell to our store at 44th and Mingo and we’ll be happy to look it over and let you know what we’re able to buy.
What we buy depends on customer demand, what we currently have in stock and the condition of the items. We are unable to give prices over the phone or by email.
We are always on the lookout for current titles, children’s and teen’s books, and music (including LPs), action figures and comics. If you’re not sure we’ll buy an item, bring it by. If we think we can sell it, we’ll probably buy it.
Our buying hours are Mon-Sat 10-4
